Beach walks with the doggo, feeling the sun on my face the salt in my nose, the sand in my toes, hearing the roaring of the waves over the sounds of guided meditations, and seeing the pattern in rocks morph as I stare too long. It is amazing what comes out in the doodles in the sand. I am thinking a lot about stories from my childhood, my ancestors I am thinking about whom I want to be in the future and I am thinking about what I am learning now about my power and I am grateful that I am painting in colours again.

Tiphaine de Fleurette Hunter-Brown ex-army brat, Belizean Kriol/ Maya Born in Belize C.A and now an Apollo Bay Local of 12 years. She is the creative director of The Project Space @theprojectspace_apollobay, a creative arts facility in Apollo Bay, 0wner of Floreo Projects and Floreo Creative graphic Design agency and co-director of Videokills @videokills4lyfe, a video and performance art-based collaborative network and festival and when she finds time, an Artist.
In her “spare time” Tiph has a local radio show and runs The development lab @the_development_lab artist residency program.
