WORKSHOP: Native flora acrylic painting class

  • Floreo Creative Project Space 2-4 Noel Street Apollo Bay, VIC, 3233 Australia (map)

This session is all about a relaxed environment where you can eat, drink and chat while you are given instruction and assistance by three artists.

You’ll be guided by professional artists and leave with a piece you’ll be proud of. For realz. Promise! No experience is necessary, and you will be guided according to your experience level.

A selection of local flora will be displayed for you to use as reference or you can bring in your own favourite plants, flowers or branches if you prefer. Also if you have a special vase, please do bring this along!

We will be painting with acrylics on canvas. All materials are supplied. I'll have a few nibbles for you but please feel free to bring something along to share! I will have wine available (white, red and sparkling) for a gold coin donation.

Buy your ticket here!

At the end of the class we will take a moment to appreciate the finished works and just generally be blown away by what you have created.

Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before the class to give yourself time to find your favourite position and settle in.

ARTISTS:

Vair Buchanan is an illustrator and writer and a lotta fun. Vair will be running the class. Click the link to see some of her work.

Kate Lambe (Kitty) and Sarah Doyle (Doylee) will be helping with guidance throughout.

This is a small-group art class to the Apollo Bay community as part of an artist-in-residence programme with Sarah Doyle.

In return for the opportunity to base themselves in our spectacular town for a fortnight, Vair and Kitty are super pleased to donate their time and experience in providing a guided art class using local native flora as your inspiration.
