#wafsac - Watch a Film, Save a Culture

After sold-out shows across Australia, Henry (Beech Forest) and the Indigenous Education Foundation (IEF) would like to welcome you to a special screening of feature documentary film, As Worlds Divide, at The Project Space, Apollo Bay.

In 2008, Australian surfer Rob Henry packed up his life in Melbourne and flew to the Mentawai Islands, Indonesia, in the hope of pursuing a more meaningful and sustainable way of life. What he found instead were a people facing a threat far more pressing than his own.

13 years on, Henry is now here in the Otways to share the Mentawai people's story. As the remaining tribes-people battle for their culture and land there is still hope amongst a small group of tribal educators who are making a stand.

Tickets: $20 + BF *Also available at the door if not sold out.

Film followed by a Q&A with film's Director and (if digital technologies cooperate) members of the Mentawai Foundation, YPBM.

Food & beverages also available at the venue.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the community’s cultural & ecological education program (via IEF).

By attending and learning about Mentawai's fascinating culture you'll actively be helping to save it - #WAFSAC

Thank you for the wonderful support.
