Otway Horizons
Otway horizons. Wild, green and everchanging. This is my journey through the horizons of our beautiful region, the ancient Gadubanud Country. The same hill, the beach you know so well, the path on your way to work will look different every day depending on the weather, time of the day and light. Next time you go outside, have a look around, observe and contemplate the interaction of the line of the land you're so lucky to be standing on, with the skies and join my journey.
ARTIST BIO
Zuzanna Karolewska was born and raised in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Graduated from State School of Fine Arts in Bydgoszcz in 2011. After graduation, she put away her brushes into the drawer and moved on with her life. Graduated from Kazimierz Wielki University and the very next day moved to London to start the new chapter. There, she shared a house with lots of creative people from different parts of the world and finally decided to dust off her brushes. After moving to Apollo Bay in 2017 and meeting the local art community, she finally decided to fully come back to creating. Her main focus are lino prints and acrylic painting. She gets her inspiration from the surrounding nature.

(RE)Emerging + Growing Female Artists Residency
local creative women of the GOR + Otways of all ages and cultural backgrounds to exhibit at the project space with a monthly placement residency. Wonderfully creative women for all sorts of reasons may find that their lives get put on hold or displaced and their creative practice is quite often the first thing that gets put on the back burner. 2023 is the year to reemerge with help and love. You can re-emerge and grow at any age and in any place. This is a safe nurturing space for experimentation and community. Welcome.
