The ‘Heart Maps’ project captures individual journeys and connections to place. When these stories are collected and layered, they give a sense of our being in the world together; a kind of shared public map made up of diverse individuals and our many points of connection.

Join artist & heritage professional Amy Tsilemanis in creating your own Heart Map about Apollo Bay and the Otways. Amy’s workshop will include walking, map making, collage and the sharing of stories. Your participation in this workshop will contribute creative research towards a site-specific audio artwork presented in the second half of 2023.

Heart Maps is a creative research residency in the Otways, Gadubanud country, exploring layers of the past, present and future through maps and audio. This project is made possible by the Australian Government's Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia.
